El Mirador HOA: Exposing Smear Campaign of the Pierces

In 2018, the Pierce family launched a hostile campaign against us, shortly after we purchased a home in the subdivision bordering their residence. Judi Pierce, a former HOA secretary, and David Pierce, a past vice president of the board, leveraged their long-standing influence to manipulate HOA governance and target us.
They maintained a tight circle of longtime HOA board members, including Richard Doyle and David Chavez Jr., both serving for over 30 years; Joaquin Tadeo and Ventura Pena, each with more than a decade of involvement; and Henry Trost, whose association spans approximately 20 years. Notably, efforts were made to keep Trost off the board, allowing him to profit from HOA-related activities without scrutiny over conflicts of interest.
Trost has personally profited from HOA funds, prioritizing monetary gain over community service, extracting excessive payments from the board while providing minimal return. Acting as key facilitators in the Pierce family's scheme, both Judi Pierce and Henry Trost have strategically exploited their positions for influence and financial benefit.
In a blatant fiduciary breach, Trost delivered every confidential document of ours—records that we were legally required to submit—to the Pierces. This represents a severe violation of trust and board responsibility, proving the HOA’s systemic failure to safeguard private homeowner information.
