The corrupt faction that has dominated the El Mirador Board for years installed David Ray Pierce, El Paso attorney, as the Vice President using questionable means. Even an attorney should know that officer elections cannot be held in executive session, or even in secret. It seems unethical for an attorney to accept a board position he knows has been secured using fraud and deceit.

David Chavez ensured his 17th consecutive term as Treasurer by manipulating ballots, exerting influence over the voting procedures, and maintaining control over the collection and tabulation of "votes." As in previous years, specific candidates in the running for office managed to garner "some votes," thus securing positions as directors. Following a declaration of the election results by Bianca Romero of DANA Properties, who lacks neutrality, the Board convened an executive session and appointed each other as officers.

Veronica Saenz was initially recommended by David Chavez, Jr. for appointment as Secretary to the El Mirador Homeowners Association Board of Directors. She seems to act as a rubber-stamp for the Board's corrupt agenda, neglecting her duty by aligning her vote with the President, rather than representing the interests of all HOA members. Notably, she has already refused to respond to an information request from Homeowner X.

As homeowners, we rely on the HOA board to make decisions that are fair, transparent, and in the best interests of the entire community. Because of people like Doyle, Chavez and Pena, we do not have a functioning association.

Susanne Kligman has never attended a meeting of the Association, yet somehow has been 'elected' as a Director and 'appointed' to be Common Area Oversight Chair in executive session. New Mexico statute does not allow executive sessions to be utilized for appointments, see NMSA § 47-16-17.
